This may not be new to some of you, but I thought I would share something I figured out today.
I needed to open a jar of minced garlic and was having trouble opening it. I looked for one of those round jar openers that businesses give out for free… I couldn’t find it. So, I had this bright idea to use one of those rubber bands that come around veggies like asparagus.
It worked like a charm!
And, the beauty with this technique is that you can just leave it on the jar at all times. So, you won’t have to look for it the next time and the jar will be ready to open with ease.
You’re welcome. ;)

This is such a cool idea! I’m always having trouble getting jars open. I can’t wait to try it!

This is one of those “duh, why didn’t I think of that!” posts! I usually just put a rubber dish glove around the lid and open it that way, but a rubber band makes way more sense! Plus it’s a great way to use all those rubber bands I’ve been saving that are wrapped around the random bunch of produce from the store. Thanks for sharing at Tiny Tip Tuesday! I’m pinning this :)
