Asian Salad Dressing with Carrots

July 19, 2012 by Nicole @ Some Call It Natural 7 Comments

This salad dressing recipe is super easy.

Ingredients:

1/3 cup olive oil
1/4 cup sesame oil
1 T honey
1 1/2 t ginger
1 T sesame seeds
4 T soy sauce (organic if you’ve got it!)
1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
3 carrots

All you do is put all the ingredients into whatever type of blender or food processor you own.  Mix it all up and enjoy!

Easy, right!??  And, so yummy!

If you like the salad dressing you would get at a Japanese restaurant, you will like this!

Also, if you triple the ingredients above, the dressing will fit nicely in an old Santa Cruz juice container (32 oz.).

We used these bottle for so many things.  So, if you ever buy this juice, don’t recycle the bottles!  Keep them in your cabinet and save them for things like this.

Okay… no point boring you anymore… Go make the dressing! :)

Let me know how they like it! It’s a winner at our house with our 10 year old, but the 8 yr old could do without it. :)

I put it in the fridge. I’ve never tried to store it in the pantry. I suppose you could try canning one jar to see how it does in the pantry. I would just start with one, though, in case it doesn’t work. I feel like unless you can it and make sure it is sealed properly, it could go bad pretty quickly due to the carrots, but I am really not sure. Great question! … Short answer: Fridge. :)
