There always seems to be some sort of little thing coming out for children to collect. There were silly bands, which I’m glad has faded, because I got tired of seeing them all over the house. Some kids got into the Squinkies. Thankfully, my kids did not. And many others throughout the years. Who remembers Garbage Pail Kids cards??? I totally collected those as a kid!
There is a new one out now that, as a parent, I actually like. It’s called Gutzy Gear!
What’s nice about Gutzy Gear is that it is not a tiny thing that will get misplaced all over the house.
They are patches (called Gutzies) that attach to a strap that you put on your book bag. They attach via super duper strong velcro. I like that, because that means they will be less likely to fall off and be lost. Which in turn means less whining from my kids. :)
With the help of Gutzy Gear and Mom Select, I was able to have a Gutzy Gear Mommy party. What is that, you say? It is a party where I get to show my mom friends and their kids a new product… in this case, I got to tell them all about Gutzy Gear!
And, as a bonus, all the kids at the party got to leave with 2 straps and some Gutzies to go on them!
The kids had fun picking out their patches and trading with their friends!
We had the party at the end of our day at our homeschool enrichment, so the kids all had their school bags with them and they were all able to leave the party with their Gutzies proudly displayed!
If your child doesn’t have the typical backpack, don’t worry… my kids each happen to have a different type of school bag and the Gutzies look great on all of them!
Look at the personality in that picture! My son wants to demonstrate where is Gutzies are placed, my oldest wants to be a model to display her Gutzies, and my youngest just wants you to see her baby! :) (I’m not a proud momma or anything…)
Don’t be surprised if you start seeing these all over backpacks at your kids school. They are brand new, but they are bound to be a new trend this school year.
When your kids start begging you for some because their friends at school have them, you can get the straps and the Gutzies at Target, Wal-Mart, Toy ‘R Us, or online.
Have you seen Gutzy Gear yet? Do your kids or any of your friends have them yet?
I was given all the supplies necessary to have the Gutzy Gear Party mentioned in this post. This included samples for my kids and their friends!
