Speekee TV Online Spanish Videos

September 14, 2012 by Nicole @ Some Call It Natural 2 Comments

As a part of our cruise last week, we went to two places in Mexico.  If you plan on traveling to places where the main language is Spanish, it would be a great idea to learn the language.  It will make catching a taxi or finding the best beach a lot easier.

I know very minimal Spanish.  I used to know more, but I don’t speak it often, so it is gone.  Our kids have learned different words here and there, but we never have had a very consistent program in helping them learn it fully.

As a part of the TOS Crew, we have had the opportunity to review Speekee TV.  Speekee TV has a few options for you to choose from which include watching videos online, buying dvds with the videos on them, and then they also have a school version which gives you all the tools necessary to teach Spanish in a school setting over a 2 year period.

In our home, we used the Speekee TV, which is their online videos.

You also have the option of using their Speekee FastTrack curriculum with the videos.  It is free with your Speekee TV subscription.  We have not started using the curriculum along side videos in our home, but I plan to next week.  I thought I would just start with the videos until after we got back from our vacation.

The reasons Speekee lists for you to use their program for Spanish:

  • Great fun and extremely effective
  • Created by specialist linguists and musicians
  • Accelerated learning methodology for natural success
  • 100% in Spanish (English and Spanish subtitles available)
  • Simple presentation style
  • Lively, engaging characters
  • Real Spanish children in real Spanish locations
  • Concise, essential Spanish vocabulary, with lots of repetition
  • Catchy songs
  • Highly acclaimed by our customers!

When they say the songs are catchy, they mean it!  Our kids were singing along with the songs very quickly upon starting the program.  It’s super cute to watch them watch the videos and interact with them!

All in all, the kids and I both enjoy these videos and feel like they are helping the kids learn Spanish.

Information in a glance:

What is it? Spanish program for kids

How much is it? At $7.50 per month, the online subscriptions are reasonable.  You can check out their prices on their site if you’d like.
