I am all about easy recipes that are also yummy!
I think this recipe fits that description.
I hope you enjoy!
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
6 apples (with skins peeled)
2 T cinnamon
3 T butter (or coconut oil if you are dairy free)
First thing you will do is prepare your pie crust if you are not using a store bought one.
Then you will peel all your apples, cut them in wedges and put them in a bowl.
Mix up your sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl.
Use enough of this mixture to cover the bottom of your pie crust.
Pour the rest of it in your mixture onto your apples.
Then mix it all up. This is the perfect time to get help from little hands.
She loved helping out!
Now, you (and your little one if you have a helper) will lay down one layer of apples on the crust.
Then you will take half of your butter (or coconut oil) and put in on that layer of apple slices (it will be 1 and 1/2 Tablespoons).
Then pile on the rest of the apples. I just pour them in and spread them out. It doesn’t have to be quite as neat as your first layer. Just make sure they are evenly spread out. Then put the rest of your butter or coconut oil on the top.
Now, put it in the oven on 350 for 30-45 minutes.
Take it out and let it cool for about 15 minutes.
Then, slice and eat.
I require vanilla ice cream with my apple pie. What about you?
