Yeah, me too! Don’t we all love to eat? Society tells us we have to look a certain way and only eat certain foods.
Beth Aldrich, the author of Real Moms Love To Eat, is here to tell all of us, we can still enjoy food AND have the body we want! She has the authority to do this, too, because she is both a mom AND a certified health counselor.
She says that if you do what she says for 10 weeks, you will have a whole new outlook on food AND your clothes will fit better! Or better yet, you will need to buy smaller sizes!
Part of the assignment for the first week is to eat an ounce of chocolate every day! Yes, ma’am, if you insist!
She helps us remember to enjoy the food we eat.
She helps us to realize we CAN eat a bowl of ice cream when we get the craving and NOT feel guilty about it.
This book is a really easy read and Beth Aldrich writes in an entertaining manner.
What is great for me, is that a lot of the assignments she gives in each chapter are things I already do (or don’t do). She tells you to ditch hydrogenated oils, artificial sweeteners, and all processed foods. Check, check and check! I have been severely lacking in my water intake lately, though, and this book was a nice, friendly reminder.
This book helps you to change your food habits in a gradual way. This will make the whole process that much more successful. You won’t have to quit things cold turkey and not allow yourself anything you enjoy. That is NOT a part of this plan!
It’s all about eating what you want in a smart way.
But don’t take MY word for it, get the book and you will see what I’m talking about.
