Sometimes during office schooling (or Home schooling!) you need a minute for your child or children to be able to work on their own so you can get your own work done (or make lunch!). Or maybe your child just needs a break from “book” work.
This is where websites come in handy!
Have you been joining me for my 5 days of office schooling posts?
If not, you can get caught up. Just click on the titles here and it will take you to each post.
- Day 1 – The “Why” of Office Schooling
- Day 2 – Choosing your curriculum and getting organized
- Day 3 – Setting up your school area
Okay… now that you’ve read all those ;) you can continue on with this post and check out all these awesome websites!
Cool Math Games is a definite go to game for my kids. It’s super fun. There’s no obvious ‘learning’ going on as far as “2+2+4”, but it forces them to use deduction skills and other things. My kids (and my) favorite games are Rotate and Roll and Bloxorz!! I hold no responsibility for you taking the computer away from your kids and playing these games on your own.
Educents – This one is not for the kids. This is for you, the momma! It is like Groupon, but for learning games, books, dvd’s. etc… Great site!
Dad’s Worksheets has some wonderful math worksheets that I print off for practice.
This website is just a site filled with Writing Prompts. If I want to have my kids write a paper, this is where I go to help them with inspiration.
If you run out of paper, you can go to this site and print off all the paper you want. And it can be just the perfect size that you choose!
Here are a bunch that I just go to for something different than our regular curriculum to print off worksheets:
- Busy Teacher
- Super Teacher Worksheets (This one has free stuff, but if you want access to everything you have to pay to be a member. It’s only $19.95.
- ABC Teach
- Home Spelling Words
- Education World
- Making Learning Fun (this one has dot pages for Olivia’s dot markers)
I also let Olivia play on PBSkids.org. It has fun learning games on it too.
Okay… that’s most of what I use. Most of it is for me to print stuff out for them, but the ones at the beginning are super fun for the kids!
