It’s Good Friday. The day Jesus died on a cross for all of us.
This is a concept that even a lot of Christians can’t fully comprehend, myself included.
It is a day of sadness, but also a day of rejoicing.
Jesus was beaten, had to drag his own cross up onto a hill, had nails driven into his skin and hung up on a cross like a piece of meat.
Most men would have fought back at such evil. He did not.
He knew his fate before anyone else did. Even before those that carried out that fate.
You know another thing He knew, though?
He knew His 3rd day was coming.
He knew the dying on that cross was not the end of His story.
I have a secret for you.
YOUR 3rd day is coming, too!
So many are struggling. For some it’s a little struggle and for others it’s so huge there doesn’t seem to be any end in sight.
Regardless of the size of your trouble, your 3rd day is coming.
There is light at the end of the dark tunnel. You may not be able to see that light yet, but it is there, I assure you.
I am no deep theologian when it comes to Bible knowledge, that you can be sure of… but I know that our earthly struggles are not meant to last.
Sometimes our troubles are there because we placed ourselves in situations that lead to hard times.
Other times, our struggles seem to come from no where within our control.
Either situation you find yourself in, please know you will not stay there forever.
The anticipation of a “3rd day” in certain situations in my own life have given me hope. It allows me to keep on moving forward.
Jesus died on a cross and 3 days later, he rose up. He was made new.
The stone in front of his tomb was rolled away.
Sometimes it takes some action from us. Do you have a stone you need to roll away?
Roll away any “stones” in your life. Is your stone fear? Is your stone procrastination?
Whatever it may be, take action and roll your stone away!
If there doesn’t seem to be a “stone” in your way, I urge you to continue to have faith.
Have faith that there will be a third day for you.
None of us know when OUR 3rd day will happen, but I have faith my 3rd day is coming soon and yours is, too.
