Maybe you already know this, but just in case you don’t… Facebook decides what you see in your newsfeed.
Just because you “like” a page, doesn’t mean you will actually see it’s posts in your newsfeed, unfortunately.
This is probably because Facebook wants pages to pay for ads. If a page pays for a post to be seen, then more people will see it. Most small business owners (including bloggers) don’t have the kind of money to be paying for Facebook ads all the time.
So… to remedy this problem here on Some Call It Natural, I have started a Facebook group.
I’m a member of many groups on Facebook. Groups are wonderful, because when one of your friends posts in the group, you get a notification. That way you can go and check out what was posted.
Sometimes group posts will show up in your newsfeed as well.
If you don’t want that red number showing up, you can always turn off notifications. It will still show up in your feed every now and then.
Also, when someone comments on a post in a group, that post will go to the top of the page. This is nice, because when you go to the page, you know the most popular posts will always be at the top and you can join in on the conversation!
There is also a search option in groups. So, in the Some Call It Natural Group, for example, if you want to know if there has already been a conversation about high fructose corn syrup or UnLock Math, you can just search for it.
I named the group “Some Call It Natural Community”.
I named it that because I want us to be a community. A community of people that are all here for one another. To help us learn and grow.
In the group, we can talk about whatever you would like… natural eating, label reading, homeschool curriculum, parenting… almost anything goes! (pg rated)
Okay… quick reading about the group and go join! We would love to have you!!
