If you are looking for a way to give your child extra practice on a certain subject or you want the ability to make a test for them, Help Teaching Pro subscription from HelpTeaching.com might be your answer.
The HelpTeaching.com website can be a bit overwhelming if you let it be. I suggest you take it one subject or grade at a time.
You might say, “But Nicole, there are so many websites and blogs that have free printables… why should I pay for a subscription with HelpTeaching.com?”
Why? Because our time as moms is valuable!
As much as I love free… I also believe the phrase, “Time is money.” I don’t enjoy having to search for who knows how long for just the right worksheet to help my child get the extra practice in “xyz” that she needs.
With HelpTeaching.com, I am able to save a ton of time on the computer searching. Most of the worksheets I might want are on one site.
Another reason it is helpful is because most (if not all) of the worksheets and tests can be done online.
This saves money because I’m not having to use up ink and paper. Plus, I’m a bit of a pack rat and think I need to save everything my child does… so if it is done online, I don’t have the inner conflict about throwing away one of her worksheets or tests.
Of course, I still printed some off, but I am going to be taking advantage of the online option much more in the future. It’s really just a matter of getting used to doing it.
There are also online lessons if what you’re looking for is more than just extra work. There are full lessons for middle school and high school aged students.
The lessons have practice questions, worksheets, and tests to assess what the student has learned.
Worksheets and Games
There are a ton of worksheets already premade on the website from grades prek through 12th. So, you could definitely go that route and just find a worksheet on the subject you want.
There is also the option of making your own drill sheets in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
If you want a fun little game for your student, there is a place where you can make a bingo card (by number or word) or a word search.
There seems to be a worksheet or test for just about any subject you can think of, so you will most likely be able to find what you want.
You can assign one of the many tests for your child to take or you can make your own.
I teach classes at our homeschool tutorial. The test maker has come in handy to make tests for my classes. And, it saves any tests or worksheets I’ve made, so if I need them again, I just have to go to my account and print them.
I also could have my tutorial students take a test on HelpTeaching.com. I haven’t taken advantage of that benefit, just yet, but I think I will try it out. Your students don’t have to have an account for you to assign them a test. You just have to send it to their email.
Overall, I like HelpTeaching.com. And, at only $39/year for a Help Teaching Pro subscription it is worth it save time on searching for worksheets online. Plus, I save money if I don’t print the worksheets.
For me, the site was not extremely user-friendly at first. Once I got used to it, it got easier, though. So, try not to lose your patience. Just take your time and check it all out.
There is a button at the top right that says “Help”. I didn’t realize at first that this was where the Frequently Asked Questions were, along with a ton of other great tutorials to help you navigate the site.
Definitely, learn from my mistakes and check out that help button right away! If you do that, I think you will be quite happy with the site!
